Summary
Mechanism. The mechanism for an English, early 18th century longcase clock. An eight day striking clock with rack striking on bell, hours only. Cast iron weights and non-matching pulleys.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973. The maker was Betty Ratcliffe's father.
