Summary
A mahogany-framed wall mirror or looking glass, English, late 19th/early 20th century. The plate with beveled edge and rounded shoulders in a leaf-carved gilt slip. The frame with fretwork cresting centred by a gilt ho-ho bird, the shaped apron with painted and inlaid conch shell patera.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
