One of a pair of beech towel rails or airers, English, late 19th century. Of three simple rails between broadening rectangular-section uprights, each on a ball-turned support. All raised on four turned ovoid feet.
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
