Summary
A mahogany and gilt metal-mounted étagère, or whatnot, English, early 19th century, one of a pair. Of four octagonal mahogany tiers, each edged with a gilt metal gallery with a border chased with anthemions and acorns. The tiers joined by eight slender brass tubes or rods.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
