Summary
Chamber candlestick. One of a pair of Chelsea porcelain chamber candlesticks, with branch handles and octafoil bowls, painted in colours with bouquets of flowers within shaped 'gros bleu' borders enriched with gilt scrolls; the cusped and flared nozzles with stiff leaves to the lower parts. Gold anchor period.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
