Baron Isidore Opsomer (1878-1967), was Director of the Royal Academy, Antwerp. This painting of the Estuary of the River Scheldt, at Antwerp is one of only 2 paintings by him in UK public collections (the other is painting of a vase of flowers in the Tate’s collections).
