A giltwood and upholstered chair, English, circa 1870, the back of lyre-shaped and with moulded giltwood uprights framing the button-upholstered back, the seat oval and also button-upholstered, raised on cabriole front legs terminating in castors. Decorated in dark grey satin with pink and grey silk fringe.
Given by Henry Hornyold Strickland (1890 – 1975) with Sizergh Castle and its estates in 1950.
