Sizergh Castle, Cumbria
A carved and stained hardwood bowl stand, China, late 19th/early 20th century. With circular dished top, friezes pierced with stylized scrolls and scrolling supports with paw-carved feet and a circular, shelf stretcher. The stand for NT 997868.
Given by Henry Hornyold Strickland (1890 – 1975) with Sizergh Castle and its estates in 1950.
