Summary description
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Nobeleman of the Wittelsbach Court, attributed to George de Marees (Gimo 1697 - Munich 1776). A half-length portrait of a man facing, gazing at the spectator, holding a letter in his left hand, short powdered wig, wearing a blue velvet coat embroidered with gold and lined with ermine which shows on the collar and the large cuffs, beneath this he wears a gold coat or waistcoat and a white shirt with ruffles and ruffled cuffs. Red seal on back.
