A tassle on twisted cord, fabric, four strand twisted cord, two strands purple/brown wool on cotton core, two strands pink/red wool on cotton core; tassel - turned wood, trumpet-shaped tassel head bound in brown wool thread with red/coral wool netting, red and brown wool (?) 'fur' ring and twisted loop red/brown wool fringe, turning to black at the ends.
Stamford collection; devised to the National Trust by Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford (1896-1976).
