Eight day French mantel clock in marble and slate case, anonymous, c.1900 Two-train, four-pillar, going-barrel pendula de Paris movement with visible brocot escapement with agate pallets, on the dial. Rack half-hour striking on a gong. Movement made in Paris by Marti & Co. Dial with white enamel chapter ring with arabic numerals, and gilt brass back to centre. Steel hands. Black slate case with decorated marble layes and with painted engraved panels and fluted pillars to sides.
