Oil painting on canvas, Henry Ward, 5th Viscount Bangor (1828 - 1911) by Henry Harris Browne (Northamptonshire 1864 - 1948), signed and dated H. Harris Brown 1904. A half-length portrait, in later age, seated, in morning suit, waistcoat and green cravat, holding monocle in right hand. Photographs by Paul Laib of the painting also at Castle Ward.


Purchased from Edward Ward, 7th Viscount Bangor (1903 – 1993), in 1967, with a grant from the Ulster Land Fund
