Summary description

Oil painting on canvas (oval), The Hon. Anne Mordaunt (b.1666), later The Hon. Mrs James Hamilton of Tollymore, attributed to Mary Beale (1633-1699), circa 1670. Oval. Half-length portrait of a young girl, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, light brown shoulder-length hair, wearing a square-necked brown dress with white edging at the neckline.

Purchased from Edward Ward, 7th Viscount Bangor (1903 – 1993), in 1967, with a grant from the Ulster Land Fund
