Probably acquired by Sir Thomas Dalrymple Hesketh 3rd Bt (177-1842) and thence by descent; in the Garden Hall at Rufford Old Hall, 1889; in the Dining Room, c. 1910; sold at auction at the Sotheby's sale at Easton Neston, Northamptonshire, 17-19 May 2005, lot 34 (pair) and purchased by the National Trust
