Summary description

Oil painting on canvas laid down on panel, Trompe l'oeil (Urn) by Martin Battersby (1914 - Lewes 1982), 1950/60. A painting of an urn on a plinth set within a niche. The plinth decorated with a classical medallion and palmettes. A bound volume and scroll rest against the niche to the right of the urn. Framed and glazed.
