Summary
A collection of five wooden slate frames, two slates, seventeen single sides of slate frames, a sliver of wood and a heavy metal rod. This black metal rod has a raised piece at either end with a circular hole in it. The two grey slates have corners missing. Three of the complete frames have 'Fairfield Endowed School, Boarstone Lane, Buxton' stamped on them in green ink and 'Crown Slate, Dixon [Ranged], Wales' stamped in black. The largest slate has 'Mary A Anson' handprinted in ink on one side of the single loose wooden frame sides. There are seven long ones, three medium, four smaller and three even shorter plus the small sliver of wood. Total number of items is 28.
