A green cotton child's long sleeved dress. The plain bodice has a round neck and fastens at the back with blue ribbons at neck and waist with a black metal hook at the neckline. The long sleeves are gathered into a tight elasticated cuff. On the shoulders are five rows of joined cross-stitch in brown and yellow wool. The gathered skirt has a wide embroidered band above the hem. This consists of a band of blue ribbon, a band of yellow ribbon joined with blanket stitch, then brown feather stitching, then another band of blue ribbon. Beneath this is a row of red flowers on green stems divided by vertical rows of yellow chainstitch, then a band of red ribbon, then blue herringbone, then blue ribbon, red cross-stich, then another band of blue ribbon, and finally a row of chain stitch.
