A doll's wooden trunk with a removable lid which has a curved top containing items. On display - brush, comb and two powder pots. The whole is covered in a maroon fabric. The lid is decorated with metal rivets. In the centre is a metal carrying handle flanked with the letters 'E R' formed from metal rivets. There is a lock on the exterior. The corresponding key is attached to a piece of string tied around the carrying handle. The interior of the trunk is lined with red paper. Inside the trunk is a doll's cream plastic toilet set comprising an oval hand mirror with a damaged handle, a circular box marked 'Tooth Powder' containing beads on a length of cotton, and a cylindrical box marked 'Powder' contains a powder puff. There is also a clothes' brush, a hair brush and a comb. Also inside the trunk is a collection of doll's clothes as follows: a pair of cream knitted woollen doll's socks; a doll's yellow bonnet trimmed with cream lace and fitted with cream ribbon ties; a cream brushed cotton petticoat with two pin tucks, fastening with a press stud on the waistband; a white cotton shift or nightdress edged with a loop trim; a white cotton petticoat trimmed with broderie anglaise, fastening with a fabric button at the waist; a pink and white checked cotton doll's mattress cover or pillowcase; a white cotton doll's 'combinations', comprising all in one drawers and vest, trimmed with lace. They fasten with cotton tape ties on one shoulder; a white cotton lawn long sleeved doll's blouse trimmed with lace around the large collar, on the front panel and on the cuffs. It fastens at the front with cotton tape ties at the top, a hook and eye in the middle, and a fabric button at the bottom; a blue and white checked cotton doll's skirt, with a button missing; a navy blue pleated doll's skirt trimmed with two white parallel braid bands. It has holes in it. It fastens with a metal hook and eye; a cream flannel doll's petticoat with a scallop trim to the neck and hem. It has moth holes. It fastens with cream ribbon ties; a maroon velvet cape or cloak with a sewn on hood threaded with elastic. There is evidence of lava cases on the cloak. A maroon ribbon bow is stitched to the front of the hood. The whole is lined with a striped brown cotton lining. It fastens with a hook and eye; a doll's white cotton pillowcase which fastens with two fabric buttons; a blue cotton doll's pillowcase with white cotton tacking stitches still in place with the machine stitching. Total number of items is 27.
