A ‘stockinette doll’, referred to on the box as a 'Norah Wellings type'. The doll is jointed at the shoulders and at the waist. She has painted and moulded facial features, with blue eyes and red lips. The doll is bald and has a small hole on the right side of her nose. Around her neck the doll is wearing a yellow velvet scarf. She has a green velvet top with long puffed sleeves; this top also forms her knickers. She wears a red velvet skirt and around her waist is a fine lawn cotton apron trimmed with lace. Her shoes are yellow velvet.
Purchased for the Museum of Childhood by Mr Stephen Feber (former Assistant Curator) in June 1983.
