Two glazed cotton and man-made fabric national costume dolls representing a female and a male Thai dancer, both mounted on a square wooden base painted black. Each doll has painted facial features and black silk thread hair. Stuffed man-made fabric body, arms, hands, legs and feet. Each doll wears a very elaborate traditional costume. Each costume is made out of a metallic blue brocade trimmed with gold and silver coloured braid and decorated with star-shaped sequins. Each doll wears a gold coloured tall hat ending in a spike, the hats are encrusted with diamante. The woman has a large cloak also made of metallic blue brocade trimmed with gold braid and decorated with beads and star-shaped sequins. Each doll wears gold coloured brocade pointed shoes with toes which point upwards.
