A black thick woollen child's cap with a stiff brim at the front. A fabric covered button is in the centre of the top. Coming away from this button in various directions are grey-green thick cotton lines arranged in an asterisk shape. The lining on the inside is a thick orange coloured fabric with a white cotton rectangle in the centre. Written on the insides are various letters and marks.
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mr Ian Edelman in September 1979.
