Woman’s bodice (part of dress). Burgundy ribbed silk and wool bodice with long sleeves and silk and wool twill over-sleeves. Bodice is embellished with metal thread and silk embroidered trimming to collar, bodice fronts and cuffs. Over-sleeves are trimmed with silk braid hung with knotted cord tassels. Nine self covered buttons on each side of front opening. Bodice fastens with metal hooks and eyes. Lined with self-striped, black cotton; openings faced with black cotton sateen, cuffs faced with cream silk satin. Bodice boned with 11 boning strips. Linen tape waistband fastens with metal hooks and eyes.
