Woman’s Bodice (part of wedding dress). Long sleeved bodice of cream silk taffeta overlaid with cotton Renaissance lace with inserts of embroidered linen. The bodice has a high round neck and fastens CF with metal hooks and silk covered eyes. The lace sleeves have three vertical slashes through which the silk taffeta is exposed. The cuffs are trimmed with deep flounces of cotton lace. It has a pleated silk waistband fastening CF with three metal hooks and eyes. The waistband is trimmed with silk bows at CF and back. The waistband is lined with cream silk taffeta. There is one strip of whalebone at CB of the waistband.
