Woman’s bodice (part of dress DR/321A-C). Black silk velvet bodice with short sleeves. It has a cream silk net chemise front trimmed with black velvet ribbon. There is a silk net ruffle around the neckline and two silk frills at each cuff. The lower frill is attached to silk organza. The frills are trimmed with black velvet ribbon. The bodice opens CF and fastens with metal hooks and stitched eyes. There is an inner bodice of cream silk/cotton twill fastening CF with metal hooks and eyes. There are 12 boning strips and two cotton covered sleeve protectors. Around the neck is a silk drawstring within a cream silk ribbon casing. Cotton and silk internal waistband fastening with a metal buckle with the maker’s name printed on it.
