Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, Lindisfarne Castle and Abbey, Holy Island by Moonlight by John Moore (1820-1902), signed and dated 1877. The Castle and Lime Kilns (pre-Lutyens) by moonlight entitled The Castle and Abbey Lindisfarne. The sketch for this picture was exhibited at the Ipswich Art Society in 1877 (229).
