Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Lady, possibly Elizabeth Chicheley, Mrs Richard Legh (1643-1728) by the Master J.H. (fl.1647-1666), 1650-1665. A decorative painted oval bust-length portrait of a woman with dark curly hair swept back with curled fringe and dressed with pearls. Wearing an orange dress with slashed sleeves revealing a white chemise, with emerald clasps and emerald brooch in the centre. Adorned with drop pearl earrings and matching necklace.
Original to the house.
