One of a pair, NT/PET/F/208.1, of figured cut velvet festoon drapes or curtains possibly an unusual Wiliam Morris design and dating from the 19th century. The pattern consists of purple and orange cut velvet with a metal thread brocade which enhances the design. The curtains are trimmed with bobble fringing on three sides.
