Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, A Gentleman and his Horse, British (English) Schoo, early 19th century. Horse facing right, being hand-fed by man in top hat, tailcoat and grey trousers. Stable shown to the left, with broom and cloth by the door, and a wall with trees beyond.


Given by the widow, Rozsika Edle von Wertheimstein (1870 – 1940), and family of the Hon. Charles Rothschild (1877 - 1923) along with the building, in 1925
