This print, which now hangs above the doorway of the nursery, was painted by Viennese school children. It was produced as part of a fund raising scheme by the Red Cross following the First World War. Sydney Gimson, the first owner of Stoneywell, was very involved in helping assist Belgian refugees, winning recognition for the work he did.
Print, coloured Austrian nursery print sold in aid of the Red Cross, c. 1920.
On loan to the National Trust from Donald Gimson, last owner of Stoneywell Cottage.
