Summary

Black leather box with hinged lid and pressed brass stud fastening. Initials R.R.C. engraved in gold on centre lid. On bottom left-hand corner of lid is 2ND, also in gold. Inside the base is covered in purple/blue velvet and has impression of a medal shaped like a George Cross. The inside lid is lined with cream satin and has (impress of a crown), /GARRARD AND CO., LTD. / by special appointment / TO HIS MAJESTY THE KING / 24, ALBERMARLE ST. LONDON / AND / DALHOUSIE SQ. CALCUTTA /.
