Afternoon apron. Made from three pieces of white spotted muslin. Small bib, with plain muslin frill around edge. Designed to be pinned to dress. Skirt with curved lower edge trimmed with plain muslin frill as bib. Waist finely gathered into band, slightly thicker at centre front, extending to pair of long broad ties stitched to ends of band. Ties made of plain fabric. Gathered spotted muslin pocket edged with frill and trimmed with white embroidered insertion. Possibly service apron WW1?
