Dress jacket - Part of a skirt and jacket of block printed linen. Morning wear. White ground with small red flowers and green leaves and black ground. Skirt with bodice of unbleached cotton. Jacket bodice and sleeves lined with bleached linen. Skirt lined with block printed linen with mauve ground and meandering design of stems and spots in madder, mauve and red. Jacket - High straight, waisted wrapover front, with hip-length skirt. Shoulder seam set well back, giving small diamond-shaped back panel. Long sleeves, gathered at head, extending over hand, wristband. All edges have self-frill. Triple frill round back of neck. Inner bodice of matching fabric attached to back and side front lining to meet centre front. Skirt- full skirt, gathered back and side, attached to bust to tight linen bodice with low linen neck. Centre-front opening, 2 pocket slits. Skirt fully lined. No trimmings. 1 self covered button at each wristband. Tie-belt at waist. 2 pairs flat metal hooks an eyes on skirt bodice. Unaltered.
