Oil painting on canvas, Lady Anne Margaret Coke, Viscountess Anson (1779–1843) by Thomas Barber the elder (Nottingham 1771 - Nottingham 1843), circa 1815. A half-length portrait, seated, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, dark brown hair, under a turban and wearing a black decollete dress with red patterned shawl. An amateur artist.

Provenance

Transferred to the National Trust with Shugborough’s park and contents of the state rooms, in part-payment of death-duties to the Treasury, following the death of Thomas, 4th Earl of Lichfield (1883 - 1960)
