Oil painting on canvas, Agnes Dingwall Fordyce, Mrs Alexander Fraser (1781–1834), after Sir Henry Raeburn, RA (Stockbridge 1756 – Edinburgh 1823), circa 1905 after an original of around 1800. A half-length portrait, turned to left, facing, and wearing a white dress; landscape background.

Provenance

Possibly painted for Henrietta Jenny Fraser (m.1897; d.1953), Mrs Bankes; bequeathed to the National Trust by her only son (Henry John) Ralph Bankes, Esq. (1902–1981) together with the estate and entire contents of Kingston Lacy.
