Silk fragment. One of 9 silk fragments dated 1850 (circa). Ivory silk warp , brown silk weft and mauve and black supplementary wefts, plain weave. Design of reversable dot or horizontal stripe on 'shot' silk ground. Cut on all sides. Patterns of Dress Fabrics.
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
