Livery overcoat. A beige servant's livery overcoat made of beige wool with raised nap. Trimmed with red wool, raised nap; braid unbalanced plain weave ridge, white, grey, yellow and red wool; eighteen metal buttons; one breast pocket; one inside breast pocket; a coathanger; a chain; and two skirt pockets. Lined with lovett green and undyed wool, twill weave herring bone; undyed cotton, twill weave. An interlining of undyed linen. Handsewn.
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
