Umbrella. Parasol. A printed black parasol dated 1920 (circa). Fabric of black silk, plain weave crepe 'georgette', additional fabric dyed green, yellow, red, mauve and yellow with printed pigment and flock (remains of). Design of single flower heads at edge; metal ferule; cane stick; spokes are metal covered in black silk, brown ends. Trimmed with silk brocade ribbon, two shadesof blue, peach and metal thread. Flower torn, pigment cracked and brittle.
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
