Summary description

Polescreen hanging similar to (and pair with) HHE/T/304a. Figure in petit point applique worked in coloured silks on canvas. Full length figure in Elizabethan costume with buttoned doublet, short hose and ruff. He holds a long cane in his left hand, a top hat in his right hand. Modern black velvet ground with green/gold plush velvet border, curved inwards at corners.
